According to Eurostat, Madrid can be considered as the second safest city in Europe, same as Vienna, and behind Copenhagen. Madrid Major, Ana Botella, wants to enhance this image, especially in tourist security.
Last action carried out by Madrid Council has been to acquire 2 new Segway and 12 new police vehicles. The Council has provided the city with more policemen with language and tourism skills. Furthermore, the city has increased its number of Citizen Service Offices (OAC).
Federal Signal Vama has equipped the different vehicles’ brands, which will patrol most of the crowded areas of the city.
Regarding to the vehicles from Renault and Hyundai, the council has acquired 12 new Renault Latitude and 2 Hyundai Latitude. Federal Signal Vama has completely transformed the inner part of them, adapting them to police usage. These vehicles will enjoy our Vision SLR lightbar that integrates Solaris latest technology, is R-65 approved and furthermore, it contains Spectralux technology, the one that allows having different light colors in the same lightbar (in this case: blue, red, white and amber).
Moreover, FSV has installed a blue LED light panel of 16 letters. These elements will be controlled by a control head.
Federal Signal Vama has also added its A-320 siren with AL-253 speaker in the engine hollow, in addition to police station. Front doors have been armored by BR-4 level and finally, the vehicles will also include 3 Viper lights in its rear and frontal part.
Regarding to the unique Dacia car acquired, Dacia Logan, includes a P400 lightbar equipped with Solaris light technology and a light panel, both controlled by control head. Logan will also enjoy A-320 siren and AL-252N speaker in the engine compartment and police station too. Doors haven been armored too at the same BR-4 level.
The goal of this action is to amplify security perception towards our tourists and also increase safety.
