Italian Police will keep wearing Federal Signal Vama’s emergency warning products range.
Italy has decided not to replace its Carabinieri and Polizia Di Stato vehicles fleet with the traditional Italian brands Alfa Romeo and Fiat. From now on, both police forces will perform their service driving SEAT vehicles.
For Federal Signal Vama, leader in emergency warning systems on the Italian market, this decision means to keep Italian police forces’ loyalty, as the firm was already equipping the previous vehicles.
The new fleet will be composed of up to 4.000 vehicles in the next 3 years. To date, Federal Signal Vama has equipped 206 models and they have committed to equip other 900 additional vehicles.
Among the emergency warning products that will be integrated in the police vehicles, one of them is the well-known TRAFFIC STORM lightbar, integrated with a foldable LEDs sign in the lightbar. This product provides a better warning and security on all roads during the day and the night. The vehicles will be also equipped with small IMPAXX LED lights installed on the vehicle’s perimeter. A third element that will not be left apart is the vehicle’s siren. Lastly, some of these vehicles will also be adapted with a prisoner’s kit to transport prisoners with security, inside the police vehicle.
