A Porsche Cayenne in Samur to save lives

Federal Signal Vama participates at the Porsche Cayenne project to save lives with the incorporation of its VALOR lightbar and ultra-compact Nanoled lights.

At the end of March 2015, Madrid’s municipality incorporated a new vehicle to its Madrid’s Rescue and Emergency Assistance Local Service (SAMUR) fleet. It is indeed a Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid that belongs to Porsche Ibérica firm and has being temporary transferred to SAMUR, with the purpose of developing a study. It is the first hybrid vehicle that SAMUR has in its fleet. It is an all-tracks vehicle with a 333CV gas-oil motor and a 95CV electric motor combined, reach the total power of 416CV.
The vehicle will be used to help new Madrid’s Extracorporeal Reanimation Unit facilitating medical intervention in case of emergency with patients entering in cardiorespiratory arrest. The vehicle carries special equipment that allows direct medical assistance providing cardiac and respiratory support to patients whose lungs and heart are extremely damaged so these can’t work normally.
Federal Signal Vama has participated in the project equipping the robust and fast vehicle with a VALOR lightbar using SpectraLuxTM LED technology, following the same steps as last VIR models incorporations and some Madrid’s local Police vehicles. In the Porsche Cayenne, Federal Signal Vama has implemented ultra-compact Nanoled lights, the new company’s product that increases vehicle visibility in emergency situations.
