With the economic recession, Salt new Police Station’s project was cancelled. Besides, the minister finally decided to move some police units close to Traffic Head Quarters, which is located in Mas Xirgu area, in Girona. For this project, Girona’s city has invested 106.500€ to rehabilitate the old Gaudi’s Construction Institute.
Federal Signal Vama participated in the project installing last generation Microled Plus lights on the vehicles to improve lighting, also sirens with loudspeakers AS-320 and security kit for prisoners’ transportation.
Furthermore, old Gaudi institute’s court introduced 20 new patrol vehicles dedicated to Girona’s police area. On the otherhand, Catalonia’s Ministry of Interior invested 13.7 million € to purchase 394 vehicles, which 13 of them will be used for the  Girona Local Police.
